Backing Up Outlook Email

Follow each step to back up your Outlook Email into a PST file. PST files make it easy to restore your email, contacts, and calendar into Outlook.

  • Open Outlook & Click on the File Menu

  • Click the Open & Export side Menu

  • Click the Import/Export Button

  • Select Export to a File

  • Click Next

  • Select Outlook Data File (.pst)

  • Click Next

  • Click on your Email Address (e.g., email@domain.com) so it is highlighted in blue

  • Make Sure Include Subfolders is checked

  • Click Next

  • Leave the password field empty

  • Click OK

  • Your email should begin backing up; if your mailbox is large, it may take a while to finish backing up.
